Owen Cleaners has created this privacy policy to demonstrate our
commitment to your privacy and the protection of your confidential
information. We will be providing email services to our customers through
two third party companies. Both are also dedicated
to the protection of your privacy. We have in place today technology
that allows us to contact you via email in two separate ways.
Service
Related Emails
To update you on service related events, we will use our new point-of-sale
(POS) software to contact you directly via email. But such contacts
will only occur if you provide us with your email address to keep on file
within our POS system. By having your email address on file with us,
you will be able to log in to view your orders and make special requests
directly via the internet. You can also sign up to receive alerts
about the status of your orders via email. In addition, our clerks
will be able to send you a quick email update in response to a special
request or other inquiry. We will work closely with our POS vendor,
Westgate Software, in order to maintain the highest levels of security of
your confidential information. Our POS software is developed using
state-of-the-art technology and the entire system that maintains your
confidential information is hosted within a high security data
center.
Promotional Related Emails
Customers can also subscribe via our website to our promotional email
database that is maintained by a company called ExactTarget. Owen Cleaners has entered into
an agreement with this company to use its web-based software for the
purpose of sending web coupons and other marketing related emails on a
very limited basis to our customers who subscribe to the service.
ExactTarget requires that we abide by their very stringent anti-spam
policies. For this reason, customers always have the option to
unsubscribe from the service at any time. A link to unsubscribe is
provided at the bottom of any email sent by us via the ExactTarget
service.
How did we get your email address?
Owen Cleaners will normally only receive your email address when you
provide it to us either in person, via our website or by telephone or mail
service. We may sometimes ask for email addresses of
customers when they stop into one of our locations or via some other
communications with them. We promise to keep your email address private
and agree to use it only for email based communications about our services
and promotions. Customers do not have to sign up for the promotional
related emails in order to maintain their email address and other
confidential information within our POS software. You always have
the right to choose what type of email communications you would like to
receive from us.
How do we protect your privacy?
Owen Cleaners and its two third party vendors will use strict security measures to protect
against the loss, misuse and alteration of your confidential data.
Will your information ever be shared, sold or rented?
Neither Owen Cleaners nor its two technology partners will ever share, sell, or
otherwise release individual personal information without
your prior written permission or unless ordered to do so by a court of
law. Information submitted to us is only available to employees and agents
of Owen Cleaners and our two third party vendors. Data that you
provide to us is the property of Owen Cleaners and cannot be used by any
other company without our prior permission.
How can you stop receiving email from our system?
As mentioned above, promotional emails sent via ExactTarget will always
provide a link at the bottom for you to unsubscribe from the
service. If you continue to receive unwanted emails sent by
the ExactTarget system, please forward a copy of the email with your
comments to abuse@exacttarget.com.
Service related emails can be turned off or limited by logging in to your
account online from our website or by simply contacting Owen Cleaners
