Owen Cleaners was recently nominated for the Better Business Bureau of Kentucky 2002 Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics. The Better Business Bureau, Inc., serving Louisville, Southern Indiana and Western Kentucky, sponsors the award. Companies can be nominated by members of the Better Business Bureau or by non-members. The award will be bestowed upon four companies at an awards ceremony in Louisville on October 17, 2002.
As a nominee, Owen Cleaners must submit an entry that outlines the various initiatives it has taken pertaining to seven award criteria. A panel of judges will review the entries and select the winners based on company size. David Perry, president of Owen Cleaners, said, “We are honored just to be nominated for the award, and look forward to outlining our recent efforts to improve service and ethical business practices in our relationships with customers, employees, suppliers and the community at large.”
