We are pleased to report the final results for the 17th Annual Cal’s Coats for Kids coat drive.  Our thanks to all who donated or assisted in this year's effort.

Total Coats Collected:  6,965

The United States Postal Service carriers collected 59 coats and 1,870 coats were dropped off at the eight area Owen Cleaners locations.  The rest of the coats came from our participating schools as reported below.  Our thanks to the Bell South Volunteers and St. Vincent de Paul for their assistance in collecting the coats from the schools.  We also want to thank Susan Paul and the students from Paducah Middle School in helping us search and sort the coats.  Owen Cleaners is now in the process of cleaning all of the coats over the next two weeks!  

Distribution of coats begins on Tuesday, October 28th at the following area distribution centers. 

2003 School Challenge Results

We are pleased to report that our 38 participating schools collected 5,036 coats!  As reported by Cal Sisto on the NewsChannel 6 newscast at 6:00 pm, the following schools are the 2003 winners:   

The Extra Effort Award goes annually to the school that brings in the most coats per student.  The Grand Prize winner is drawn from a pool of all schools bringing in 100 or more coats.  This year we had 22 schools entered in the Grand Prize Drawing!  The $500 cash prize is courtesy of Owen Cleaners and NewsChannel 6.  Congratulations to this year's winners!  Complete results by school are listed below.
